The Eyes was founded in 1991 by Dr. Tariq Saeed (Diplomate American Board of Ophthalmology, who returned from the USA after 24 years of international training), Dr. Ahmad Hussain (DOMS, MS, MBBS King Edward Medical College 1988), and Dr. Athar Akram (FRCS UK, FCPS PAK).
Starting at Javed Medical Complex, the surgical team expanded to Zainab Memorial Hospital at Kalma Chowk, and performed advanced vitreo-retinal and anterior segment operations at Lahore Medical for many years.

Dr. Ahmad Hussain
Graduated from prestigious King Edward Medical College (1988) followed by house job at Mayo Hospital Ophthalmology. Completed intensive residency at LRBT Township under Prof. Raja Ali Kohli Khan, where he partnered with Dr. Tariq Saeed. Over 35 continuous years, Dr. Ahmad Hussain has mastered advanced phacoemulsification, multifocal and scleral fixated IOLs, corneal transplantations, and vitreo-retinal procedures, treating tens of thousands of patients with unmatched clinical precision and compassionate care.
Dr. Athar Akram
Dr. Athar Akram graduated from Bolan Medical College in 1994 and completed his house job at the same hospital. He completed fellowship training in Ophthalmology (FCPS Pakistan) from Mayo Hospital Lahore in 2000, and earned the prestigious FRCS (UK) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Joining The Eyes under the mentorship of Dr. Tariq Saeed, Dr. Athar has dedicated 30 continuous years to advancing vitreo-retinal surgery with state-of-the-art instrumentation. In recognition of his selfless surgical care as Consultant Ophthalmologist at LRBT Quetta, he was honored with the Governor's Award.

Dr. Tariq Saeed returned to Pakistan after 24 years of extensive medical and ophthalmic training in the United States. In 1991, he founded The Eyes alongside Dr. Ahmad Hussain and Dr. Athar Akram, mentoring and pioneering modern cataract extractions, corneal transplantation, and vitreo-retinal techniques that revolutionized eye care standards in Lahore.
